Grace Choi

National CO-CHAIR
Grace Choi is the Founder and CEO of Karis Consulting Group, a national consulting firm that provides community organizing, strategic advising, and coalition building support for AANHPI organizations to empower the voice and capacity of the community.
Grace is a community strategist and political leader with over 15 years of experience in community organizing, policy, advocacy, diplomacy, international development, and politics. Formerly, Grace worked for President Obama at the State Department as Policy Advisor, the White House Liaison's Office, Stacey Abrams for Governor as the AANHPI Director, and President Obama's 2012 Inauguration.
Hon. Gene Kim

National Co-Chair
Gene Kim (김진) is an attorney and an elected School Board Trustee for the San Mateo-Foster City School District. Prior to running for office, Gene worked in the U.S. Congress, at a global law firm, and on several technology start-ups and political campaigns. Gene is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a J.D. from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Gene has a long history of promoting the political and civic empowerment of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community through his many past leadership roles, including as the Executive Director of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, President of the Korean American Democratic Committee, and as an Executive Board Member of the California Democratic Party’s Asian Pacific Islander Caucus, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the San Mateo County AAPI Alliance. Gene has also held prior leadership roles with Korean Americans for Obama (2012), Korean Americans for Hillary (2016), and was a national co-chair of Korean Americans for Biden (2020).
Linda Shim

National Co-chair
Linda Shim is Vice President for Federal Government Affairs at Comcast NBCUniversal where she focuses on the company’s federal advocacy strategy with Members of Congress and key stakeholders in Washington, DC. She was previously an Executive Director of External Affairs and led the company’s engagement with the AANHPI community.
She also served at the White House during the Biden-Harris Administration and oversaw the appointments of political appointees who serve at economic-focused federal agencies. She also led the Office of Presidential Personnel’s engagement and strategy with Congress and external stakeholders. She was Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27) who chairs the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) and was a Legislative Assistant to former Congresswoman Jane Harman (CA-36).
Steve Kang

National Co-Chair
Steve Kang is the Director of External Affairs at Koreatown Youth & Community Center (KYCC) where he oversees communications, grants, special events, government, and community affairs.
In addition, Steve is the Commission Vice President of the Central Area Planning Commission at the City of Los Angeles. Prior to joining KYCC, Mr. Kang served as District Director in the California State Assembly and Executive Director of the Korean American Coalition (KAC-LA). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors from Columbia University and a Master of Science from The London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE. In 2016, Mr. Kang was honored by the Empowerment Congress as one of 40 Emerging Civic Leaders Under 40.
